Spain – SS5: Sordo gets into the saddle

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) a signé le scratch dans le second passage de Gandesa, 5e spéciale du Rally d’Espagne, en bouclant les 7km en 4’14’’7.  Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Craig Breen (Citroën) ont suivi à oins d’une seconde en précédant Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) and Ott Tänak (Toyota) grouped into 2 tenths.

Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) set the 7th fastest time, 3''8 behind the benchmark, ranking behind Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) who chose to carry two spare wheels unlike most of his opponents. The Alsatian only takes a tenth from his former teammate Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) which preceded Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) by 3 tenths. Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) lost around 16 seconds after spinning.

 

 

Ott Tänak maintains a lead of 11''5 over Elfyn Evans while Dani Sordo has come back to less than 7 seconds of the Welshman. Andreas Mikkelsen maintains the advantage over the French Sébastien Ogier and Sébastien Loeb, the nine-time champion WRC seeing his teammate Craig Breen come back to less than a second. Thierry Neuville remains 8th ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala who recovered 9th place against Esapekka Lappi.
