Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) set a good pace in the 6th special of the Rally d’Espagne, les 26,59km de Pesells. En terminant à 4’’2 du scratch de Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), auteur d’un temps de 14’12’’5, et à deux dixièmes de son coéquipier Craig Breen andOtt Tänak (Toyota), the nine-time champion WRC a repris plus de 5 secondes à Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) tout en devançant Dani Sordo (Hyundai) de plus d’une seconde. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) a suivi à 7 secondes de la référence en précédant son compatriote. Esapekka Lappi (Toyota), Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) are more than 10 seconds behind.
Ott Tänak now has a 14”4 lead over Elfyn Evans who sees Dani Sordo come back to 5 seconds. Sébastien Loeb gained two places to climb to 4th place with 7 tenths ahead of Craig Breen and a second over Andreas Mikkelsen. Sébastien Ogier also lost two positions to find himself 7th, 3 seconds behind the Norwegian Jari-Matti Latvala moved up to 8th place against Thierry Neuville. Esapekka Lappi completes the Top 10 ahead of his compatriot Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).
