Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) will have to open the road on the remaining 7 special stages after the retirement of Khalid Al Qassimi (Citroën) who tore off the right rear wheel of his C3 WRC passing through a ditch shortly after the start.

Ott Tänak now has a 14”3 lead over Mads Ostberg. Jari-Matti Latvala remains isolated in 3rd place ahead of Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) who maintains around ten seconds ahead of Teemu Suninen. Esapekka Lappi gained two positions by more than 6 seconds ahead of Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) while Sébastien Ogier fell to 8th place more than a second behind his teammate. Craig Breen (Citroën) and Thierry Neuville complete the Top 10.
