Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) a récupéré la cinquième place du Wales Rally GB face à Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) après avoir vu sa pénalité de dix secondes pour départ anticipé dans l’ES9 être annulée.

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) signed a new scratch by completing the 1,8km of the Cholmondeley Castle super special in 1'07''5. Ott Tänak (M-Sport) n’a lâché que huit dixièmes tandis que son coéquipier Sébastien Ogier finished half a second behind the Estonian.

The special was marked by the accident of Juho Hänninen (Toyota) who retired after breaking his suspension by hitting a tree while in tenth place.

Elfyn Evans maintains a lead of more than 46 seconds over Thierry Neuville. Ott Tänak retains his third place with less than four seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier. The Championship leader sees Andreas Mikkelsen come back to just over eight seconds.
