Jari-Matti Latvala has good hopes of securing a good result in the Rally from Japan, on a course that he appreciates. “ The stages are fast and even though trees line the road, visibility in the bends is good and speeds remain high. I prefer fast rallies, like New Zealand and Finland. Japan is another rally of this nature even if the roads are more winding », he commented on his impressions of this ordeal.
« My confidence is greater on these roads and I plan to fight for a podium. I had good pace when I won the event in Finland in July, and the Focus RS WRC is competitive under these conditions. So I think a result in the top three is possible. »
