The second passage of Guanajuatito, the 14th special of Rally from Mexico, is a turning point in the event.

Sébastien Loeb lost more than two minutes following a left-front puncture, the result of contact with a stone. “She was on the trajectory. It wasn't violent, I didn't think I'd get a puncture with that but I got one." commented the nine-time champion of WRC.

The classification of the Rally of Mexico is turned upside down. Sébastien Ogier takes the lead of the race with less than four seconds ahead of Kris Meeke. Dani Sordo slips to third place, more than 13 seconds behind the Northern Irishman. Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) conversely gains a position, now ahead of Sébastien Loeb by 55 seconds. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) remains sixth.
