Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) s’est montré le plus rapide dans l’ES5 du Rally from Mexico and ahead of Elfyn Evans' Ford Fiesta by 5″7. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) ranks third at 6″5 ahead of the Citroën C3 of Kris Meeke.
The latter made the best start at the end of the second pass in SS4 and SS5 since the Citroën driver dominated the event with a 15″7 lead over Sébastien Ogier (Ford). Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) conserve la troisième place devant son équipier Dani Sordo, avec 2″5 d’avance sur l’Espagnol. Thierry Neuville pointe au cinquième rang à 1″6 de Sordo, et 24″4 du leader Meeke. Derrière le top 5, Juho Hänninen (Toyota) emmène le peloton des poursuivants à 1’25 » de Meeke et 1’00″6 de Neuville. Ott Tänak (Ford), Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën), Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) follow in the ranking.
