Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) s’est offert le scratch dans les 2,71km de Barque Bicentenario, la 6e spéciale du Rally du Mexique. Elfyn Evans (Toyota) a été le plus proche avec 8 dixièmes de retard, tandis que Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) et Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) ont échoué à 2 secondes. Esapekka Lappi (M-Sport) a suivi au 5e rang devant ses coéquipiers Teemu Suninen et Gus Greensmith.
Hyundai drivers Ott Tänak and Dani Sordo were still behind with more than 7 seconds behind.
Sébastien Ogier retains the lead with around ten seconds ahead of Teemu Suninen who keeps 2nd place for 6 tenths ahead of Thierry Neuville. Esapekka Lappi follows a few seconds behind the top three ahead of the Toyotas of Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanperä. Ott Tänak remains 7th ahead of Gus Greensmith.
