Ott Tänak (Toyota) a encore réduit son retard sur Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) in the 12th special of Rally Monte Carlo. The Estonian was the closest to the scratch of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) qui a bouclé les 16,87km de St-Léger-les-Mélèzes – La-Bâtie-Neuve en 10’48’’6. Il reprend ainsi huit secondes au quintuple champion du WRC.

Kris Meeke (Citroën) finished 16 seconds from the benchmark and lost more than 13 seconds to Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) who finished 2”6 from the scratch. Bryan Bouffier (M-Sport) gave up 13 seconds to the Belgian Hyundai driver.

Sébastien Ogier still has a 39sec lead over Ott Tänak with one stage remaining in this stage. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) remains well established in third row, but Kris Meeke sees Esapekka Lappi come back six seconds from his fourth position. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) remains sixth ahead of Bryan Bouffier who only has a dozen seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville. Craig Breen (Citroën) and Jan Kopecky (Skoda), leader of WRC 2, remain in the top ten.
