Monte-Carlo-SS3: Ogier sends a message, Rovanperä in the lead

Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) s’est montré le plus en forme au réveil matinal ce vendredi matin. Sur les 19,61 km d’Aspremont – La Bâtie des Fonts, maculés de glace et de neige, le champion du monde en titre a retrouvé une Yaris WRC in full possession of his means after his brake problems the day before.

Author of the scratch in 14'00″9, the Gapençais leaves his teammates Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanperä at 2″7 and 5″7 respectively. Thierry Neuville hoist the best Hyundai i20 à 7″3, quand le leader ce matin Ott Tänak (Hyundai) lost more than 17″ after being very careful on the ice.

Overall, Kalle Rovanperä takes the lead ahead of Evans and Ogier, at 2″2 and 7″9, while Tänak falls to 4th at 8″7. Neuville follows at 14″3, while behind the Belgian the gaps are significant with Dani Sordo more than 1′ behind.

In WRC2, Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) is heading towards the scratch by leading Adrien fourmaux (Ford Fiesta Rally2) of 1″3. 10″2 separate the two drivers overall after this SS3.

Very big blow on the other hand from Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 Rally2) in WRC3, with a 22″4 margin over Yohan Rossel (Citroën C3 Rally2) in this SS3. The three-time French champion temporarily takes the lead by 13″3 over Rossel, Nicolas Ciamin (Citroën C3 Rally2) being 26″ behind.
