Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) établit un nouveau meilleur temps sur ce Rally from Poland by dominating SS17 with a benchmark time of 7'20″8. The New Zealander leads his teammate by half a second Thierry Neuville, which carries out the correct operation by taking back time from Ott Tänak (Ford), handicapped by the loss of his rear wing in the previous special.
The Estonian only set the 10th time in SS17, and saw Neuville return to 6″1 overall. Hayden Paddon remains third behind the Tänak – Neuville tandem and returns to 30″5 behind the leader. Sébastien Ogier, worried about his engine, retained fourth place by increasing his lead to 5″5 over Dani Sordo.
Teemu Suninen (Ford) suit toujours en sixième position devant Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën), troisième temps de l’ES17, Mads Ostberg (Ford), Elfyn Evans (Ford) et Juho Hänninen (Toyota).
