On a particularly slippery route in the brand new Orzysz special, Ott Tänak (Ford) achieved a remarkable performance for the first ES on Sunday at Rally from Poland. The Estonian driver sets the best time in 6'10″3 and is ahead Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) of 4″9.

In the general classification, Tänak took the opportunity to regain the lead of the event with a 1″8 lead over his Belgian rival. Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) is still in third position, but has lost almost 20″ to Tänak, the gap between the leader and the New Zealander now peaking at 42″3.

Sébastien Ogier (Ford) widened the gap on Dani Sordo (Hyundai) in the fight for fourth place, with a 17″7 lead for the Frenchman over the Spaniard. No change in the rest of the ranking with Teemu Suninen (Ford) sixth ahead of Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën), Mads Ostberg (Ford), Elfyn Evans (Ford) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Citroën). The latter, however, is 4″1 behind Evans.
