Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a perdu environ une minute dans l’ES12 du Rally from Portugal, the Finn suffering from shock absorber problems on the front axle.
Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) s’est offert le scratch en bouclant les 22,22km de Cabeceiras de Basto en 13’35’’9 avec 2 secondes d’avance sur Kris Meeke (Toyota). Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) a suivi à 5 secondes alors que son coéquipier Sébastien Ogier gave the Belgian 5”5. Ott Tänak (Toyota) a suivi à plus de 6 secondes devant Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai).
Ott Tänak keeps the lead of the Rally Portugal with around fifteen seconds ahead of Kris Meeke. Thierry Neuville climbs onto the provisional podium less than 7 seconds behind the Northern Irishman while Sébastien Ogier is more than 8 seconds behind the Belgian. Jari-Matti Latvala lost 3 places and finds himself 5th half a minute behind the Frenchman and could still lose positions before the end of the stage against Esapekka Lappi and Teemu Suninen.
