Sébastien Ogier (Ford) signed the scratch in the 22,3km of Cabeceiras do Basto, 14th special of the Rally du Portugal, bouclés en 13’31’’0. Le pilote M-Sport devance son rival direct Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) de 4’’5, suivi de près par les Toyota de Jari-Matti Latvala et Esapekka Lappi. Dani Sordo (Hyundai) suit à près de 8s devant les Citroën de Kris Meeke et Craig Breen. Mads Ostberg (Ford) is almost 15 seconds ahead of Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) and Elfyn Evans (Ford).
Juho Hänninen (Toyota) lost more than a minute following mechanical problems which could be a fuel pressure problem.
Sébastien Ogier now has a lead of 23 seconds over Thierry Neuville. Dani Sordo is now 12”5 behind the Belgian. Craig Breen remains 4th ahead Ott Tänak. Elfyn Evans climbs to 6th place, followed by a dozen seconds by Esapekka Lappi. Juho Hänninen fell to 8th position ahead of Mads Ostberg and Jari-Matti Latvala.
