Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) a signé le scratch dans Caminha, la 6e spéciale du Rally from Portugal, completing the 18,1km in 10'25''0 with 4 tenths ahead of Elfyn Evans (Ford). Ott Tänak (Ford), Dani Sordo (Hyundai), Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier (Ford) ont suivi à un peu plus de 2s. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a fini à plus de 3s en précédant Craig Breen (Citroën) and Juho Hänninen (Toyota). Mads Ostberg (Ford) and Kris Meeke (Citroën) finished less than ten seconds behind, the Briton wanting to save his tires for the next special.

Ott Tänak takes the lead of the Rally Portugal with a tenth ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala and becomes the 6th leader in as many special stages. Hayden Paddon climbs to 3rd place ahead of Craig Breen and Kris Meeke who loses two places but is only 6”2 behind the new leader. Sébastien Ogier follows in 6th place tied with Dani Sordo. Thierry Neuville remains 8th but is back to within a second of his teammate. Elfyn Evans and Juho Hänninen complete the new top ten.
