Tom Kristensson took his first JWRC victory at the Rally from Sweden, becoming the third local driver to win in the category at the Scandinavian event. The Swede took advantage of Dennis Radström's retirement in SS13 when the latter dominated the proceedings before making an error.
“We showed pace and I’m very happy with my confidence level. I had a plan and I stuck to it. It should be a great season, commented the winner. The most important thing was not to make any mistakes by keeping a good pace and remaining calm. We enjoyed this rally even if we had some heat, that's obvious. In any case, I feel like I'm making progress on the car. »
The JWRC podium contested on the new Ford Fiesta MK8 R2T was completed by the Estonian Roland Poom at 1'31 and the Spaniard Jan Solans more than 4 minutes behind, the top three having been monopolized by rookies.
