The first pass of the shakedown Rally of Italy in Sardinia made a first victim in the person of Sébastien Ogier (Citroen). The world champion, who was leading the way on this practice stage, hit a gate and damaged the left rear suspension of his C3.

The Frenchman was not the only one to contact this portal since Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport Ford) ont également touché au même endroit, sans conséquences en revanche pour le pilote belge et le pensionnaire de l’écurie anglaise.
“It’s really narrow, admits Neuville. I used the handbrake and hit the gate. Then I slowed down. Looks like it's going to be an interesting weekend. »
