Organized in preparation for the return of Rally du Japon en 2020 au calendrier du Championnat du Monde des Rallyes, le Rallye Central Aichi – Gifu (épreuve asphalte) a été remporté ce week-end par le Japonais Takamoto Katsuta, épaulé par Daniel Barritt sur la Toyota Yaris WRC.
The duo won with more than 3'50" over Hiroki Arai (Citroën C3 R3) and 6'18" over Osamu Fukunaga (Skoda Fabia R5). Heikki Kovalainen finished 4th with his Toyota 86.
