Although Estonia does not yet host a proper round of the World Rally Championship, the country has Ott Tänak one of the references of the discipline, and one of the big favorites for the 2019 title in WRC.
The championship promoter announced this Friday that the Rally of Estonia from July 12 to 14, will serve as the setting for a promotional event for the WRC.
“Estonian fans and media follow the WRC with enormous enthusiasm and we are grateful to be able to participate in a local event, says Oliver Ciesla, WRC promotion manager. Rally Estonia is not a round of the championship, but the opportunity for fans to get a feel for the WRC on home soil will generate great enthusiasm. »
Chaque constructeur engagé en WRC (Toyota, Hyundai, M-Sport Ford et Citroën) sera invité à engager une voiture, dans le cadre de la préparation au Rallye de Finlande, fin juillet. Ott Tänak won this event last year… before winning it in Finland straight away.
