Ott Tänak (Toyota) a signé un nouveau scratch dans les 10,26km d’Aberhirnant, la 10e spéciale du Wales Rally GB. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) a été le plus proche avec plus de 2 secondes de retard. Sébastien Ogier (Citroen) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) ont suivi à 3 secondes devant Kris Meeke (Toyota) et Craig Breen (Hyundai). Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) finished 7 seconds behind.
Ott Tänak takes the lead of Wales Rally GB on the evening of the first stage with a lead of 3”4 over Sébastien Ogier. Kris Meeke fell to 3rd place, 2 tenths behind the Frenchman. Thierry Neuville is around 5 seconds from the provisional podium with a good lead over his teammates Andreas Mikkelsen and Craig Breen. Teemu Suninen follows in 7th place less than 4 seconds behind the Irishman, preceding his teammate Elfyn Evans.
