Ott Tänak (Toyota) s’est offert un nouveau scratch au Wales Rally GB en bouclant les 19,48km de Dyfi en 10’56’’7 avec près de 2 secondes d’avance sur les Citroën de Craig Breen and Mads Ostberg. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) a suivi à un peu plus de 2 secondes en reprenant encore plusieurs secondes aux Toyota d’Esapekka Lappi et de Jari-Matti Latvala qui entourent la Hyundai d’Hayden Paddon. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) was the slowest with more than 7 seconds behind.
Ott Tänak extends his lead to more than 45 seconds against Sébastien Ogier. The five-time champion WRC pushed Esapekka Lappi back more than 4 seconds, the Finn remaining only 6 tenths ahead of his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala. Craig Breen remains 5th but the Irishman is less than 4 seconds behind the 3rd Yaris WRC. Mads Ostberg remains 6th ahead of the trio of Hyundai drivers made up of Hayden Paddon, Thierry Neuville and Andreas Mikkelsen. Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) remains at the top of WRC 2 by completing the Top 10.
