Ott Tänak (Toyota) a repris l’ascendant en signant le scratch dans le second passage de Dyfnant, l’ES9 du Wales Rally GB, disputé en soirée. L’Estonien a bouclé les 19,36km en 11’06’’1. Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) were the closest with almost 6 seconds behind, preceding Kris Meeke (Toyota) while Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) se sont classés à 8 secondes. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) a suivi à 9 secondes. Ralenti par la nuit tombée et le brouillard, Craig Breen (Hyundai) failed by more than 16 seconds.

Kris Meeke maintains the lead of Wales Rally GB by 6 tenths ahead of his teammate Ott Tänak who has regained the advantage over Sébastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville. The Belgian finds himself almost 5 seconds behind the Citroën driver. Andreas Mikkelsen climbs to 5th place, taking the advantage over his teammate Craig Breen by almost 9 seconds. The Irishman sees Teemu Suninen come back to 3 seconds. Elfyn Evans remains 8th ahead of Pontus Tidemand (M-Sport).

Le WRC 2 Pro was turned upside down with the retirement due to mechanical problems of Gus Greensmith (Ford) on the link and a puncture for Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) who lost more than a minute.
