Kris Meeke, 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion, will ride in WRC next season. The Northern Irishman, although he did not confirm the information, has signed up, according to Autosport, with Prodrive, which manages the Mini WRC program. David Richards, boss of Prodrive, wanted to hire an experienced, talented and, preferably, British driver. Kris Meeke will therefore have the opportunity to drive the Coutryman WRC for Mini's return to the World Rally Championship. In addition, Marcus Grönholm is still expected to lead the development tests of the car.
