Matthew Wilson looks to improve his performance on asphalt, the driver M-Sport having only achieved eleventh place in the Rally from Germany. For this, the Briton will return to a basic set-up on his Ford Fiesta RS WRC in order to better feel your car on the Alsatian roads of the Rallye de France.
“It’s a return to basics, we are going to use the old suspensions of the car from its beginnings”, explains Matthew Wilson. “I knew how the car reacted with these suspensions because I had tested with this configuration. Bumps are easier to take and I feel more confident on dirty or muddy roads. I was not on the same pace with the latest developments. I rode with the new suspension in Germany but I didn't have the same feeling. I hope this turnaround will help improve my speed this weekend. »
