Ypres, SS13: Neuville hits the nail on the head, Evans grabs

Thierry Neuville scored a third consecutive scratch this Saturday on SS3, further increasing his lead over Ott Tänak on the Ypres Rally. Elfyn Evans is gradually getting closer to 13nd place.

Him again ! The mid-day break hasn't cooled down Thierry Neuville, who wins a special for the 3rd time in a row today. The Belgian was the fastest on SS13 with a time of 7'51″1, and increases his lead at the head of the Rally d’Ypres. Le pilote Hyundai a désormais 18″3 de marge sur son coéquipier, Ott Tänak (3rd, +2″1). The Estonian also conceded 4 additional tenths to Elfyn Evans (2nd, +1″7) who is closer to 2nd place overall.

Behind, no changes: Esapekka Lappi (7th, +8″2) manages his 4th place while Oliver Solberg (6th, +5″4) is back in contact withAdrien fourmaux (8th, +8″3) to gain 5th place. The gap is down to less than 2 seconds between the two young drivers. Gus Greensmith was able to drive away with a repaired Ford, but still struggled to get back into rhythm. The Briton finished last in Rally1, more than 13 seconds behind Neuville.
