Ypres, SS6: Neuville’s closer
Friday afternoon smiles Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). The Belgian on his lands Rally d'Ypres erased half of his deficit in the space of two stages at the head of the event. After the sixth stage, the French-speaking rider is only 4″3 behind Elfyn Evans (Toyota), which on the other hand slightly increased its lead over Ott Tänak (Hyundai, +2″3).
In WRC2, Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) remains leader in the category ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) and Yohan Rossel (Citroën). The rain was late in coming while several pilots like those of M-Sport Ford was counting on a downpour to catch up.
