Ypres, SS7: Neuville new leader!
As much Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) était timide en début de Rally of Ypres this Friday morning, as much as the Belgian on his land pulled himself together during this second loop of the day. Thierry Neuville left everyone behind by several seconds in one of the fastest stages of the day.
As a result, the Belgian takes the lead in the Ypres Rally but the gaps are minimal over the competition. Ott Tänak (Hyundai) ne pointe qu’à 7 dixièmes et Elfyn Evans (Toyota), malgré deux positions perdues, n’est qu’à 8 dixièmes !
The leading trio broke away from the rest of the pursuers. For example, Esapekka Lappi is more than half a minute behind in fourth place. In WRC2, Yohan Rossel (Citroën) concedes an additional 1″6 on Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda), himself chasing French leader Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroen).
