Bahrain 2021 pre-season testing

End clap in Bahrain for this second day of pre-season testing. Valtteri Bottas dominated the session ahead of Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll. Lando Norris and Antonio Giovinazzi completed the Top 5 of the day. For his first official day of driving with Alpine, Fernando Alonso finished 10th, completing no less than 128 laps.
The drivers will return to the track to simulate starts only. The session is over

Alonso leaves his stand. He will try to move up the rankings, he is currently 9th, just over 2 seconds behind Bottas
Mercedes back in first place thanks to Bottas. The No. 77 beat Gasly with a lap of 1'30″289, or 0″124 faster
1'30″903 for Charles Leclerc who improves his personal best mark but remains in 6th position
Gasly, Norris, Leclerc, Stroll, Pérez, Latifi and Schumacher are on track. Only Alonso, Bottas and Giovinazzi are in their stand
Valtteri Bottas sets the second time and is only 47 thousandths behind Pierre Gasly. The Mercedes driver completed his lap in 1'30″460 including the record in the 3rd sector
Charles Leclerc back at the forefront. The Monegasque is in 4th position with a time of 1'31″135, still 7 tenths behind Pierre Gasly
Slight improvement for Bottas who crossed the line in 1'31″172
Improving, Lance Stroll came across traffic and was forced to relax his effort
With a fresh, warm engine cover, Sergio Pérez returns to the track

Antonio Giovinazzi sits behind Lando Norris. With the softest tires, the Transalpin stopped the clock at 1'30″760
Lance Stroll finished his stint with the mediums and returned to the pits after eight laps
Here is the provisional Top 10 with a little less than an hour of driving left: Norris, Gasly, Giovinazzi, Bottas, Pérez, Leclerc, Ricciardo, Alonso, Stroll and Latifi
