Here are the results of the Austrian GP:

17h

Ocon (Renault): “I’m quite happy with how the race went. We need to qualify better but the pace of the car was good. It’s good to have been able to finish in the points, that was the goal. We really need to improve for Saturday. »

17h

Hamilton (Mercedes): “It wasn’t the best day of my career. I did my best, that's the main thing. I wasn't fast enough in qualifying and I need to improve on that. I apologize to Alex (Albon). It was not intentional. As for the penalty, that’s how it is and I accept it. »

17h

Gasly (AlphaTauri): “It was very pleasant to have a race like that for the restart. The race was very intense. My brake pedal was no longer working but we were able to stay in the race even though we were on the verge of giving up. We would have signed with both hands for such a result given the potential of our opponents. »

16h

Albon (Red Bull): “I’m a little frustrated and I don’t want to talk too much about the incident. I think we had the potential to win. We had a good strategy. I had to pass him quickly for that and I thought I had succeeded. I was already thinking about Bottas and the contact surprised me even more. There is next week, but the Mercedes have the advantage in speed. We made a difference on the strategy, but I don’t know if I will have the same opportunity next weekend. »

16h

Bottas (Mercedes) scored his 8th victory in F1, his second at the Austrian GP after 2017.

Leclerc (Ferrari) signs his 11th podium in the discipline while Norris (McLaren) opens his account in the Top 3. The Woking team won its previous podium last year with Sainz Jr in Brazil.

16h

Norris (McLaren): “Carlos almost overtook me towards the end but I didn’t give up and I was able to attack Pérez. It was very interesting for me in the last laps. I am proud of the team when we see the progress we have made in recent years. I knew that Sergio had a 5s penalty but I didn't know any more. I only found out about Lewis (Hamilton)’s sanction afterwards. We had to keep a high pace with the sequence of laps. »

16h

Leclerc (Ferrari): “I didn’t expect this result. It's a nice surprise. Lots of things happened but we stayed out of trouble by seizing every opportunity that presented itself. We didn't have the potential to finish in this position. We have a lot of work ahead of us and it will take time but we are motivated. I had to be very aggressive in the race, especially with the safety cars. I enjoyed the fights, even if the race was difficult at times. »

16h

Bottas (Mercedes): “Lewis had several opportunities to take the lead of the race, but I resisted. It’s great to start the season like this. We had to remain very careful to preserve the car by avoiding the kerbs, but I am happy to see both cars at the finish. We are leading the Manufacturers’ Championship, that’s the most important thing. »

16h

Sainz Jr (McLaren) completes the Top 5 ahead of Pérez (Racing Point), Gasly (AlphaTauri), Ocon (Renault), Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) and Vettel (Ferrari). Latifi (Williams) is the only driver to finish outside the points.

16h

Victory for Bottas (Mercedes) at the Austrian GP! Hamilton (Mercedes) crossed the line in second place but it was Leclerc (Ferrari) and Norris (McLaren) who completed the podium ahead of the Briton for a gap of 2 tenths.

16h

Last lap of the race and Bottas (Mercedes) reduces his pace probably to slow down his teammate Hamilton.

16h

T70 – Another abandonment and it is Kvyat (AlphaTauri) who pays the price with probably a puncture. There are 11 cars left on the track.

16h

T69 – Norris (McLaren) overtakes Pérez (Racing Point) at the hairpin at the cost of a slight contact. The Briton is 4th in the regular standings.

16h

T69 – Albon (Red Bull) is idling on the track. The Thai takes the escape route following an engine problem.

16h

T68 – Pérez (Racing Point) also receives a 5s penalty for non-compliance with the speed limit in the pits. The Mexican risks losing his podium.

16h

T68 – Hamilton (Mercedes) is logically on the attack following his penalty. The Briton sets the best lap in the race.

16h

T66 – Hamilton (Mercedes) receives a 5s penalty for his collision with Albon (Red Bull). The Briton would slip to 6th place if the gaps remain the same. Pérez (Racing Ppint) should recover 3rd place ahead of the McLarens of Norris and Sainz Jr.
