Disturbed by a GT going off the track, the number 38 Jota driven by Anthony Davidson ended its race in the gravel at the Dunlop chicane after an impressive first stint from Antonio Felix da Costa.

The different teams take advantage of the slow zone to enter the pits. After a complicated first stint, Kévin Estre leaves his place to Michael Christensen at the wheel of the number 92 Porsche GT Team.

Return of the rain in the pit lane. The SRT41 association car driven by Takuma Aoki went out into the gravel at the Dunlop chicane.

Here are the rankings after the second hour of racing:

Pit stop for the number 8 Toyota of Sébastien Buemi. The number 7 Toyota takes the lead again with Mike Conway at the wheel. L'Alpine also goes to the pits and is still in third position with Nicolas Lapierre. The French car was running in the same time as the leader before stopping.

Slowly, the number 71 of Inception Racing returns to the pits. Note that the chassis of this car was changed yesterday following an accident during testing.

The High Class Racing number 20 driven by Dennis Andersen spins at Tertre Rouge. The Dane leaves.

Sébastien Buemi, leading the race with the number 8 Toyota, moves to the right in the start-finish line to allow engineers at the pit wall to assess possible damage. The team tells the Swiss to stay calm and that everything is fine with the car.

The number 7 Toyota already stops in the pits to change only its right rear tire. Sister car number 8 takes the lead despite a collision with an LM P2 at Dunlop. Rain is forecast to return to Mulsanne…

Duel between the two AF Corse for the lead in the GTE Pro category. The number 51 takes the lead with Alessandrio Pier Guidi in the lead... immediately taken over by Daniel Serra at the wheel of the number 52.

Different strategies at Porsche GT Team. Richard Lietz replaced Gimmi Bruni in the #91 while Kevin Estre remains behind the wheel of the #92.

First change of driver in Hypercar with Richard Westbrook giving way to Romain Dumas in the No. 709 Glickenhaus. The Englishman spoke:

« This is the first time I drove this car in the rain. The driving was quite brutal, the car was lively, it was tricky. It was very difficult to see clearly at the start of the race with low visibility, but the track conditions are improving more and more. I had some radio problems but otherwise we continue. I was surprised that the green flag was waved because we didn't see much after the Safety Car laps.»

Nicolas Lapierre observed his second pit stop, and confirms that theAlpine n°36 carries out stints as long as the two Toyota GR010-Hybrids! The Frenchman starts 3rd again, 1'12" behind the leading No. 7 Toyota.
