Ott Tänak (Toyota) took the scratch on the second pass of Savalla, SS10 of the Catalonia Rally. The Estonian was ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) by 3 tenths while Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) followed a little over a second behind. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai) finished more than 2 seconds ahead of the Fords of Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen.

Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) was behind even though he thought he had set a good time. The Alsatian finished 4''5 off the scratch.

Thierry Neuville now has more than 15 seconds ahead of Sébastien Loeb, now threatened by Dani Sordo, back to less than 4 seconds. Ott Tänak is 7 seconds behind the Spaniard, still ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala and the Fords of Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen. Sébastien Ogier remains 8th.

Loeb is behind by only setting the 8th fastest time, 4″5 behind Tänak. It's the slowest on arrival. “I attacked hard, I don’t understand. I thought I did a very good stage. » The Hyundai driver finds himself 15″6 behind Neuville and only has a 3″5 lead over Sordo.

14h

Neuville managed well, giving up only 3 tenths to Tänak. The Belgian has a lead of more than 19 seconds over his teammate Sordo. “I did a good SS, I enjoyed it. We are not really improving the times compared to this morning. »

14h

Sordo sets the 4th time by dropping 2″6 to Tänak. The Toyota driver is 7″2 off the provisional podium. “I might have been a little slow towards the end, but that’s okay. »

Tänak improves Ogier's time by 1″, setting the new reference time. The Toyota driver is the direct threat to the Hyundais. “I rode well and my pace seemed good. »

14h

Latvala is closest to Ogier with 9 tenths behind. “We have greatly improved the behavior of the car. I'm still a little hesitant about braking, but otherwise it's okay. » The Toyota driver is 5th behind his teammate Tänak.

Evans is still ahead of his teammate Suninen by 1″3, finishing 1″8 behind Ogier. The Welshman occupies 6th place.

Ogier achieves a time of 7'26″5, 6 tenths off Neuville's scratch achieved in the morning. “We are testing things that seem quite promising. »

14h

Adamo (Hyundai): “Obviously, Kris (Meeke)'s crash forces us to see things from another angle and not take too many risks. But our definition of risk is slightly different from that of pilots. I remain calm and relaxed. »

If the fight for the Drivers' title seems to be played to Tänak's advantage, Hyundai can hope to increase its lead over Toyota before the final round in Australia by having its 3 cars in the lead.

14h

Ogier sets off in the second passage. The Citroën driver is in 8th place after his steering problems the day before.

13h

The crews are preparing for the second passage of the day with the 14,08km of Savallà where Neuville was the fastest in the morning in 7'25"9. Ogier is expected to start at 14:01 p.m.
