Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) went off the road in the 19,95km Sweet Lamb Hofren, the 11th special of Wales Rally GB! The championship leader lost around 50 seconds when he found himself stuck in a ditch, the Belgian having been lucky in his misfortune to benefit from the help of spectators to get him out of this bad situation.
Mads Ostberg (Citroën) took the scratch with a time of 11'39''4. Ott Tänak (Toyota) was the closest with less than 2 seconds behind, preceding Craig Breen (Citroën) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai). Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) and Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) finished more than 9 seconds behind Hayden Paddon (Hyundai).
Ott Tänak remains in the lead of Wales Rally GB, now more than 43 seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier who becomes his main rival. Esapekka Lappi finds himself on the provisional podium by coming back to less than 2 seconds of the five-time WRC champion, while maintaining a second lead over his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala. Craig Breen finds himself in the Top 5 less than 7s behind the third Yaris WRC while his teammate Mads Ostberg finds himself in 6th position. Thierry Neuville fell to 8th place just under 7 seconds behind his teammate Hayden Paddon. The Belgian is now ahead of the third i20 WRC driven by Andreas Mikkelsen. Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) still completes the Top 10 by dominating WRC 2.

Tänak remains on a strong pace being closest to Ostberg with 1″7 behind. “It’s hard to know if I was fast. I stayed clean. »
Neuville finished 51s behind. The Hyundai driver fell to 8th behind his teammate Paddon. “It’s my first real mistake since Monte-Carlo. It's the game, it was my fault. The car is OK. »
Neuville went off the road in a right turn and found himself stuck in a ditch. The Hyundai driver was able to resume at a steady pace. The i20 WRC is damaged at the rear.
Lappi finished a little over 9s from the provisional reference. The Toyota driver is less than 2 seconds behind Ogier in the general classification. “I had a bad time. However, I felt like I was riding well. I wasn't brave enough. »
Breen ranks 5s behind his teammate Ostberg. The Irishman still occupies 6th position. “I lost time by missing a turn, but things were going differently. »
Paddon drops more than 11 seconds to Ostberg and slips to 8th place, 8 seconds behind the Citroën driver. “It was very muddy. We may not have the best (medium) tires for the conditions. »
Mikkelsen sets the first time in 11'45″0. The Hyundai driver still occupies 9th place. “It was a little harder in this one, but the settings are effective. »
Ostberg has a lead of almost 5 seconds over Paddon in the special. The Citroën driver could take 7th position at the end of this course.
After retiring yesterday, Camilli had a difficult start to the day, losing almost a minute in SS10 after damaging the left rear wheel of his Fiesta R5. It's a decidedly complicated weekend for the Frenchman.
Mikkelsen set off in the 19,95km Sweet Lamb Hofren.
