Following the punctures of Jan Kopecky (Skoda) and Yoann Bonato (Citroën) in SS9, Éric Camilli (Ford) finds himself leading WRC 2 with 23 seconds ahead of Kajetan Ketanowicz (Ford). Fabio Andolfi (Skoda) completes the top three in the category for less than 6 seconds ahead of Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda). Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) follows the young Finn by half a second.
Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) went off the road on the 12,28km Römerstrasse and was stopped with a damaged wheel while in 7th place on Rally Germany.
Craig Breen gave Citroën its first scratch in this event with a time of 6'03''3 where he beat Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) by 3 tenths and Ott Tänak (Toyota) and Mads Ostberg (Citroën) by half a second. second.
