Neuville in the lead, Evans narrows his gap
In this special where snow covered the first part, Thierry Neuville showed himself to be the fastest driver. The Belgian climbed to the top of the timesheet with a time of 11'29″6.

Third, 5″8 behind Thierry Neuville, Sébastien Ogier conceded 1″3 overall. The leader saw his gap with Elfyn Evans increase from 21 seconds to 19″7. Nothing is certain yet. There are now two special stages remaining, including the Power Stage at the start of the afternoon.

After the first special of the day, Sébastien Ogier is 21 seconds ahead of Elfyn Evans, his runner-up in this Monte-Carlo Rally. The SS12 will be contested between Briançonnet and Entrevaux with a total of 14,31 kilometers to cover. The first departure is scheduled for 10:08 a.m.
