Sordo's damaged Hyundai:

15h

Dani Sordo and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) dismounted in SS12 of the Rally of Catalunya, in the 14,12km of Savalla. The Spaniard and the Norwegian retired after their steering broke after hitting a stone in the same place. The Scandinavian even tore off a wheel.

Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) took the scratch by completing the special in 7'30''0, six tenths ahead of his teammate Ott Tänak. Esapekka Lappi and Juho Hänninen (Toyota) follow a second ahead of Kris Meeke (Citroën) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai).

Kris Meeke maintains a 14-second lead over Sébastien Ogier who takes second place, taking advantage of Dani Sordo's misfortunes and ahead of his teammate Ott Tänak by a tenth. Juho Hänninen finds himself fourth ahead of Thierry Neuville who gains two places ahead of Mads Ostberg. The Norwegian is under threat from Esapekka Lappi who returned to six seconds.

15h

Ogier: “We won the last two SS even though I would have liked to have been faster from the start. Kris (Meeke) is now quite far away. We are fighting for the title and we have no doubts about our approach for tomorrow. »

Meeke: “We were very close on time this afternoon. We have to stay careful in the super special. We will try to manage our lead tomorrow. »
