The crews now head to the Monti di Alà special, the penultimate route of the day where Tänak signed the scratch by completing the 28,21km in 16'58″3. Latvala is scheduled to start at 17:11 p.m.

Ott Tänak (Toyota) takes his 4th scratch of the day in Sardinia in as many special stages contested. The Estonian completed the 14,97km of Coiluna-Loelle in 9'09''6 with a little over 3 seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier (Citroën), Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Kris Meeke (Toyota) . Dani Sordo (Hyundai) followed just over 4 seconds behind. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) finished 7 seconds behind. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) finished around ten seconds behind.

Ott Tänak now has a 10”6 lead over Dani Sordo. Teemu Suninen is isolated in 3rd place ahead of Elfyn Evans who maintains the advantage over Andreas Mikkelsen. The Norwegian sees Kris Meeke come back to less than 8 seconds. Thierry Neuville remains 7th ahead of Esapekka Lappi.

Sordo loses more than 4s to Tänak who seems well on his way to taking all the scratches in this stage. The Toyota driver now has a 10″ lead over the Spaniard. “It was always slippery on the road. The times are quite close. It's hard to follow, but it's not over yet. »

Suninen equalized Meeke's time by finishing 3″9 behind Tänak. The Finn is more than half a minute behind the leader of the race. “I try to keep a good pace by not taking all the risks. »

Ogier kept a good pace, finishing 3″4 behind Tänak. The Citroën appears to have been well refurbished by the service mechanics. “We try to keep the feeling on the car. »

Ogier started behind Tänak, presumably to sweep the road for Suninen and Sordo who are the Sardinia Rally leader's closest rivals.

Tänak further improves the benchmark with almost 4s ahead of his teammate Meeke. Sordo will struggle to keep up. “I continue to attack because the gaps are small. »

Mikkelsen sets the same time as Evans and also fails 3″1 behind Meeke. The Norwegian remains 2″6 behind the Welshman in the general classification. “I don’t feel so good behind the wheel anymore. It's a bit like yesterday afternoon. »

Evans failed 3″1 behind Meeke and saw the Northern Irishman come back to around ten seconds. The Welshman is also threatened by Mikkelsen.

All crews opted for 5 hard tires in the second pass. Latvala is preparing to set off in the 15km of Coiluna-Loelle where Tänak had signed the scratch this morning in 9'18″3.
