Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) remains at the lead of WRC 2 with 20 seconds ahead of Jan Kopecky (Skoda). Petter Solberg (Volkswagen) took advantage of the troubles of Nil Solans (Ford) to climb back into the top three in the category.
Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) signed his second scratch at the Rally of Spain by completing the 16,35km of Riudecanyes, the first special of the last stage, in 10'22''6. By relying on hard tires unlike his opponents who preferred soft ones, the Alsatian regained a clear lead over his opponents. The Hyundais of Dani Sordo and Thierry Neuville were the closest with more than 6 seconds behind. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) dropped 6”6 while Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) failed 4 seconds behind the five-time WRC champion!
This scratch allows Sébastien Loeb to take the lead in the Rally of Spain, 2 seconds ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala. Sébastien Ogier also lost a position but is only 6 tenths behind the Finn. Elfyn Evans (M-Sport finds himself 7 seconds from the provisional podium with less than a second ahead of Thierry Neuville. Dani Sordo remains 7th ahead of the Toyotas of Esapekka Lappi and Ott Tänak separated by just over 6 seconds Craig Breen (Citroën) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) complete the Top 6 ahead of Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).

Latvala finished 10″6 behind Loeb who took the lead of the rally! The Toyota driver slips to 2nd place, 2″6 behind the new leader, only 7 tenths ahead of Ogier. “I'm suffering from understeer on the car, we'll have to look for something for the next SS. Hard tires seem to work well. »
Latvala is more than 9s behind Loeb in the 4th split and 4s behind Ogier in the 4th split. The special will cost the Toyota driver dearly…
Ogier is 6″6 behind Loeb at the finish. The M-Sport driver finds himself 3″3 behind the nine-time WRC champion in the general classification. “He took risks and it paid off. We can't do the same, but bravo to them for the strategy. »
Latvala is almost 7s behind Loeb in the 3rd intermediate. The Alsatian could find himself at the head of the rally.
Ogier drops more than 5s to Loeb in the 4th intermediate. The M-Sport driver should cede his 2nd position to his compatriot if he stays at this pace.
Loeb takes the provisional scratch with more than 6 seconds ahead of Sordo. Evans is relegated to around ten seconds. “I had a good time. I think the hard tires were good. We'll see for the next special. »

Loeb now has a lead of more than 4 seconds over Sordo. The Citroën driver has great pace this morning.

Evans is almost 3s behind Sordo and Neuville in the 3rd intermediate. The M-Sport driver could lose his 4th position.
Neuville finally finished 4 tenths behind his teammate Sordo. The Belgian was less than 3 seconds behind Evans at the start of the special. “I was slipping a little too much towards the end. It's very close when you see Sordo's time. »
Loeb is the fastest in the first part with 2 seconds ahead of Neuville and Evans.
Sordo takes the provisional scratch with a 2″1 lead over Tänak. The Spaniard remains a little slower than his teammate Neuville. “Maybe the soft tires are too soft for the conditions. They were moving quite a bit. »
Lappi drops more than 7s to his teammate Tänak who comes back to less than 7s of the Finn in the general classification.
Tänak takes the provisional scratch with a 6″2 lead over Breen. The Toyota driver remains 8th. “It’s still complicated at times but it’s still much easier than the day before. We are focusing on the Manufacturers' Championship. »
