Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) finished almost 3 seconds behind, ahead of his compatriots Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) failed 8 seconds behind Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) and Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota).
Thierry Neuville takes control of the event with a 4 tenths lead over Dani Sordo. Kris Meeke completes the provisional podium with 8 tenths ahead of Ott Tänak. Esapekka Lappi climbs to 5th place ahead of the Fords of Teemu Suninen and Elfyn Evans. Jari-Matti Latvala finds himself 8th ahead of Sébastien Loeb and Takamoto Katsuta. Sébastien Ogier fell to 11th place, 12 seconds behind the Japanese.
