Rally Estonia 2020
Here is the ranking of this SS2:
Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen take the lead of the rally:
Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) finished 3″1 behind Nikolay Gryazin.
Correction: Nikolay Gryazin (Hyundai) might have hit something during the special, because his front hood is about to open. He finished 11″ behind Mads Ostberg.
Unsurprisingly in WRC 2, Mads Ostberg (Citroën) finished behind all WRCs in 12th place, but only 20″ behind Gus Greensmith.
“I was careful, a little too much perhaps,” explains Pierre-Louis Loubet. I will try to improve for the next stage. »
Half spin for Nikolay Gryazin (Hyundai) in WRC 2! The Russian leaves without having damaged his car but lost precious seconds.
Debutant Pierre-Louis Loubet (Hyundai) and his teammate Vincent Landais complete their first “real” special with the i20 WRC. The Corsican driver is 10th, 19″1 behind Kalle Rovanperä.
The third man of the M-Sport Ford team, Gus Greensmith, is inside. The Briton already loses 24″9 on the leading Toyota!
Craig Breen (Hyundai) started the day strong with the 2nd fastest time, 1″ behind Kalle Rovanperä.
The Japanese Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) gets going with the 7th time, 10″9 behind Kalle Rovanperä.

Bad start to the event for Teemu Suninen and Jarmo Lehtinen. They finished 15″7 behind Kalle Rovanperä.
The first leader of the rally, Esapekka Lappi (Ford), is already 5″ halfway through.
The outgoing champion Ott Tänak (Hyundai) finished behind Elfyn Evans, 2″8 behind Kalle Rovanperä, while he was provisional leader before the final portion, made up of a long straight line on asphalt. The Hyundai reached for the breaker for several seconds.
The first Ford Fiesta to set off, that of Teemu Suninen, almost went off the road in a fast curve!
Kalle Rovanperä finishes 2″1 ahead of Elfyn Evans! Thierry Neuville slips between Elfyn Evans and Sébastien Ogier in 3rd place.
Elfyn Evans (Toyota) finished 1″3 ahead of Sébastien Ogier.
Ogier: “Difficult to drive at the limit. The grip is OK but not exceptional. »
At the second intermediate point, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) is the fastest ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier by a few tenths.
Sébastien Ogier finishes after 9'56″1 of effort.
