Jari-Matti Latvala sets the best time on SS21 of the Rally Finland, first pass through Ruuhimäki, which will also serve as the Power Stage. The Finn is ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) by 0″7 and Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) by 1″4.

In the general classification, Ott Tänak (Toyota), 4th in the SS, 1″6 behind Latvala, increases his lead to 22″ over Esapekka Lappi (Citroën), who sees Latvala return to 7″3 before the second loop. Andreas Mikkelsen increases his lead to 1″7 over Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) for 4th place, while Craig Breen (Hyundai) seems to have definitively abandoned all hope of the regular of coming ahead of the Mikkelsen – Ogier pair.

Thierry Neuville remains 7th with his Hyundai i20 and ahead of Teemu Suninen (M-Sport Ford). The M-Sport clan lost in this special Gus Greensmith, who made a mistake with a hit against a tree.

In WRC2 Pro, no change with Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) who still dominates the category ahead of Eric Camilli (Ford).

Ott Tänak does not exert his talent on this SS21 and loses 1″6 on the best time of Jari-Matti Latvala. “The priority remains the rally. » comments the leader who should not do anything crazy in the Power Stage.

“We were also faster in the first SS until the problem (the car going into neutral at an intersection),” Mikkelsen said at the stop point. We proved again that we are faster. »

Mikkelsen improves Sébastien Ogier’s reference by 0″7. The Norwegian increases his lead over the Frenchman for 4th place to 1″7.
