Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) signs his second scratch in a row in SS3 of the Rally Sweden by completing the 21,26km of Hof-Finnskog in 10'10''3. The Belgian beat Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) by 6 tenths. Craig Breen (Citroën) followed a little over 2s ahead of Sébastien Ogier (Ford), Dani Sordo (Hyundai), Elfyn Evans (Ford), Kris Meeke (Citroën) and Mads Ostberg (Ford). Ott Tänak (Ford) is almost 9 seconds behind the benchmark, ahead of Juho Hänninen (Toyota), Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) and Stéphane Lefebvre (DS 3).
Thierry Neuville now has a 4”6 lead over Jari-Matti Latvala who has gained two positions. Kris Meeke still completes the top three at 9s from the Belgian. Dani Sordo climbed to 4th place for 4 tenths ahead of Mads Ostberg, while Ott Tänak fell to 6th position. Elfyn Evans remains 7th ahead of Craig Breen and Sébastien Ogier who are tied. Juho Hänninen completes the top ten after taking the lead over Hayden Paddon by 2s.
Ostberg sets the 8th fastest time, 6s behind Neuville. The Norwegian remains 5th, 2 tenths ahead of Tänak.
Neuville achieved an average speed of 125,4km/h in SS2. This is the best average obtained in Sweden since 2008.
Paddon only achieves the 10th provisional time, more than 15 seconds from the provisional scratch. The Hyundai driver finds himself 10th in the provisional ranking, 2s behind Hänninen. “I’m not very happy at the moment. »
Meeke ranked just over 6s behind Neuville. The Citroën driver retains 3rd place in the general classification, finding himself more than 4s behind Latvala.
