General classification after SS3:
In difficulty in the first special on Friday morning, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) took advantage of an icier road to resurface on this Rally of Sweden. The Finn, the opener throughout this stage, is back at the head of the event, still led by Ott Tänak (M-Sport Ford).
“It’s completely different terrain from the first ES, said Ott Tänak. The previous SS was snowy and this one is icy. 'Satisfied' is probably too strong a word for me, but we're at the finish at least. »
In the general classification, Tänak has a 1″9 margin over Craig Breen, while Kalle Rovanperä is closer at 4″9 (4th). Elfyn Evans (Toyota) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) continue to lose momentum and complain of understeer.
In WRC2, Emil Lindholm (Skoda) lost 1'40"! The 2022 category champion was leader but blocked his radiator with snow following a driving error. The Finn is unscrewing in the general classification.
Craig Breen signs the 5th time, 2″8 behind Rovanperä but remains 2nd in the general classification behind Ott Tänak.
No big attack for Pierre-Louis Loubet, who settles for 7th time, 10″ behind Rovanperä.
Esapekka Lappi picks up the pace! He finished with the 2nd time, 1″0 behind Rovanperä.
Good weather for Takamoto Katsuta. The Japanese sets the 2nd time, 1″7 behind Rovanperä!
Ott Tänak loses 2″2 on Rovanperä!
Elfyn Evans missed a rope point and hit a wall of snow, before being able to continue her journey. The Welshman lost 5″4 on Rovanperä.
Thierry Neuville does not have a good special stage. He lost 4″2 to Kalle Rovanperä.
