Ott Tänak (Toyota) won his third consecutive special at the Rally Germany by completing the 9,27km from Wadern-Weiskirchen in 5'06''7, almost 2 seconds ahead of his teammate Esapekka Lappi. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) followed a few tenths ahead of his title rival Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed a few tenths behind, preceding Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) and the Citroëns of Craig Breen and Mads Ostberg. Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) failed by more than 7 seconds.

Ott Tänak returns to service with more than 7 seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier, while Thierry Neuville follows the Frenchman by less than 4 seconds. Esapekka Lappi maintains 4th place with 2 seconds ahead of Dani Sordo. Jari-Matti Latvala took 6th place, one second ahead of Elfyn Evans. Andreas Mikkelsen remains stuck in 8th place seeing Craig Breen and Mads Ostberg return who complete the Top 10 ahead of Teemu Suninen.

Suninen finished almost 8s behind Tänak's new scratch. The M-Sport driver is almost 15 seconds behind the Top 10. “There are quite a few things to improve. »
