Ott Tänak (Toyota) ended Andreas Mikkelsen's (Hyundai) streak of wins by winning SS4 of the Sardinia Rally, completing the 14,14km of Tergu-Osilo in 8'58''4 with 1'' 4 ahead of the Norwegian. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed just over two seconds behind Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) and Efyn Evans (M-Sport). Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) finished almost four seconds behind, just ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Citroën drivers Craig Breen and Mads Ostberg were the slowest, 7 seconds behind, failing behind Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) and Hayden Paddon (Hyundai).
Andreas Mikkelsen maintains a lead of more than 14 seconds over Ott Tânak who took second place for four seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville. Teemu Suninen remains fourth ahead of Sébastien Ogier who regained fifth place for a seven-tenths lead over Mads Ostberg. Jari-Matti Latvala follows in seventh place ahead of Hayden Paddon, Craig Breen and Esapekka Lappi.
