The general classification after SS5:
The Frenchman finally crosses the line, more than 4 minutes behind Ogier’s time…
Adrien Fourmaux tries to set off again to reach the finish.
At the same time, Oliver Solberg finished the special 26″3 behind Ogier.
Adrien Fourmaux has a problem, the Ford is idling! The French driver stops on the side of the road to look at what is wrong with the Puma.
And Sébastien Ogier sets the best time in 14'05″2! At the same time, he regains the lead in the Safari Rally!
Gus Greensmith finished SS5: 11″7 behind Katsuta for the M-Sport driver, who was able to restart after his puncture during SS4.
In the 2nd intermediate, Sébastien Ogier is 2 seconds ahead of the best time…
Elfyn Evans had a very complicated end to the special and finished 14″4 behind Katsuta. The Welsh driver suffered a right rear puncture. Katsuta moves ahead in the general classification!
New best time signed Takamoto Katsuta, in 14'09″5!
Craig Breen is still behind on this special: the Irishman finishes 8″6 behind Rovanperä.
Same observation for Ott Tänak, who finished 1″5 behind the Toyota driver while he was ahead in the 3rd intermediate.
Although he was faster than the Finn on the first part of the special, Thierry Neuville ultimately conceded 3″3 to Rovanperä on SS5.
First reference time for Rovanperä: 14'13″0, almost 6 seconds faster than the best time of SS2 achieved by Loeb.
Ott Tänak took to the track with a brand new gear lever… but will it last more than 3 kilometers this time?
As a reminder, the best time on the Loldia special was achieved by the Loeb-Galmiche duo in 14'18″8 this morning.
It's also off for Thierry Neuville, with a Hyundai which has regained its power.
We left for this Safari Rally with Rovanperä launching SS5! Will it perform as well as this morning?
Sébastien Loeb's reaction on Twitter after his retirement.
A scratch time, fesh-fesh, and an abandonment: this is the summary of the morning here at #SafariRallyKenya 😕
