In the general classification, Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota), fifth in SS7 at 3″9, retains control of the race, but with only 2″3 on his new runner-up Ott Tänak. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) slips into third position at 7″9, while Sébastien Ogier (Ford) lost time in this timed sector by losing 15″6 to Paddon, and 9″ to Neuville. The Frenchman is 19″7 behind leader Latvala.
Hayden Paddon consolidates his fourth place ahead of Dani Sordo (Hyundai), Juho Hänninen (Toyota) and Teemu Suninen, back to 4″9 behind Hänninen for the fight for 7th place.
