Thierry Neuville destroyed his Hyundai i20 WRC in the 8th special stage of the Rally Chile. While trying to take second place from Sébastien Ogier (Citroën), the Belgian rolled over on the 23,09km Maria Las Cruces course.

Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai) signed his second scratch in this event by completing the course in 14'28''3 with 2 tenths ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota). Ott Tänak (Toyota) followed just over a second ahead of Kris Meeke (Toyota) who reached the finish line less than 4 seconds behind the benchmark despite his rollover on the previous course.
