Ott Tänak (Ford) wins his first WRC victory by winning the Sardinia Rally ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) and Sébastien Ogier (Ford) complete the top five ahead of Juho Hänninen (Toyota) who lost a place in the last special. Mads Ostberg (Ford) finished 7th, but the Norwegian had to complete the liaison after breaking his right-rear suspension. Andreas Mikkelsen (Citroën) follows in 8th place.

Esapekka Lappi won the Power Stage by setting a time of 5'10''5, 4 tenths ahead of Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Sébastien Ogier followed just over a second behind, ahead of Thierry Neuville and Jari-Matti Latvala.

The M-Sport driver secures 6th place but could recover 5th position from Hänninen who has power steering problems. “It's not a great weekend for the Championship, but we couldn't push any further because the road was really broken.
