Lewis Hamilton signs his fifth pole position in Canada and will start tomorrow evening in pole position for the Canadian Grand Prix ahead of his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) will start on the second row alongside Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) who came to kiss the Wall of Champions at the end of the session.
Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) follow in 5th and 6th positions in front of the 100% Williams fourth row made up of Bottas and Massa who are ahead of Nico Hülkenberg (Force India) and Fernando Alonso (McLaren).
Rosberg (Mercedes) cut his effort after an error during the first braking. Hamilton takes pole position for the Canadian Grand Prix.
Vettel (Ferrari) sets a new time 178 thousandths behind Hamilton who does not improve on his side.
Sixth time for Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) 0″767 behind Hamilton.
The other drivers, except Alonso and Bottas, returned to the track.

Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) and Felipe Massa (Williams) come into action on a staggered strategy less than five minutes from the end of this Q3.
The replay shows that Sebastian Vettel hit the Wall of Champions, with no damage to the German driver.
Behind the two W07 Hybrids, it is Max Verstappen (Red Bull) who is ahead of Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), all more than six tenths behind the two Mercedes. Ricciardo (Red Bull) follows in fifth position.
Hamilton made a mistake at the start of the last chicane and should logically do another warm-up lap.
The two Mercedes seem favorites to chase pole. Ferrari is hoping for a burst of pride from Vettel or Räikkönen to dislodge the Silver Arrows.
The 12 minutes of Q3 began in Canada.

Sergio Pérez (Force India), Jenson Button (McLaren), Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso), Esteban Gutiérrez and Romain Grosjean (Haas) and Carlos Sainz Jr (Toro Rosso), who made a mistake at the last chicane of the circuit, are eliminated at the end of Q2.
Jenson Button will be blamed for a wheel lock at the hairpin of the Montreal circuit in his last attempt.
Button failed in his attempt while Fernando Alonso succeeded in his bet and finished Q2 in 9th position. Nico Hülkenberg (Force India) immediately improved and finally took Sergio Pérez (Force India) out of Q3.
Sergio Pérez (Force India) improves and climbs to 9th position. Hülkenberg is under threat from the McLarens of Button and Alonso as the checkered flag waves in Q2.
Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) comes to dislodge Sergio Pérez (Force India) from 10th qualifying place for Q3.
