Bulacia was in 2nd position in WRC 2 Pro before being the victim of a spectacular crash in the first SS of the day:
Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) lost around 25 seconds in the 6km Fernet Branca super special, being slowed down by the loss of his power steering which suffered on the previous route of the Rally Argentina. Kris Meeke (Toyota) also lost seconds by handfuls suffering from a loose wheel, his spare wheel also being damaged.
Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) took the scratch 6 tenths ahead of his teammate Dani Sordo. Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) followed a second ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) who was able to take a second from Ott Tänak (Toyota).

Mads Ostberg (Citroën) still occupies 9th place leading the WRC 2 Pro.
Neuville sets the 4th time, 1″7 behind his teammate Mikkelsen and returns to service with a lead of 6″4 over Tänak.
On the other hand, Ogier loses big with his power steering problems since he ranks 25s from the scratch and falls to 6th position, more than 9s behind Sordo!
Ogier faces Neuville but the Citroën driver is handicapped by the loss of his power steering.
Tänak won easily but still finished almost 3 seconds behind Mikkelsen's time. The addition is steep for Meeke who fails at more than 18s and who should lose 2 places to the benefit of Ogier and Mikkelsen.
Meeke is a few seconds behind on the course. The Northern Irishman must travel with a broken rim without having a spare wheel in good condition.
Time for the Toyota duel with Meeke against Tänak.
